It has an area of 15-acre and an average depth of 28 meters. The Bom tribe, a native indigenous community, lives in the vicinity of Boga Lake. The tribe has a rich cultural heritage and traditions, which are deeply intertwined with the lake. Boga Lake is a true reflection of Bangladesh's extraordinary natural beauty.
In the area near Boga Lake, the Bom tribe has a fascinating legend. The place where the lake now is was once a big hill with a funnel shape. Life was normal until strange things started to happen. Cows, goats, and even young children started disappearing from the villages around the hill. People searched for them, but they couldn't find them. The last tracks of the animals and children led to the mountains.
It became clear that something dangerous was living in the hill and was attacking these innocent animals and children. A brave group of young men decided to find out what was happening. They climbed to the top of the hill and found a huge dragon living in a cave. The dragon was called Boga in the Bam language. It was responsible for the disappearance of so many animals and children.
The villagers wanted to protect their community, so they decided to kill the dragon. They gathered a group of brave young men and gave them arrows, bows, spears, sticks, and torches. They attacked the cave at night. Inside the cave, they saw blood and bones on the floor. They realized that the dragon was very dangerous. They fought the dragon, but it was very strong. When the dragon was weak, it breathed fire at the villagers. The fire spread to the whole mountain. The ground shook and the mountain split open, creating a huge hole. Over time, this hole became Boga Lake.
